Rummy Rules — How to Play
Rummy is a skill-based card game where the objective is to arrange all 13 cards into valid sequences and sets. On Dhani Game, you can play Points, Pool, and Deals Rummy for real cash.
Objective
Arrange your 13 cards into at least one pure sequence, one impure sequence, and valid sets. The first player to make a valid declaration wins the round.
Key Terms
- Sequence: Three or more consecutive cards of the same suit.
- Pure Sequence: A sequence without a joker.
- Set: Three or four cards of the same rank but different suits.
- Joker: A wildcard that can replace any card in a sequence or set.
- Declaration: When a player arranges all cards and submits them for validation.
Step-by-Step Gameplay
- Each player is dealt 13 cards.
- A random card is selected as the Joker.
- Players draw and discard cards to form sequences and sets.
- Once ready, the player declares their hand.
- If valid, the player wins. Other players score penalty points based on ungrouped cards.
Winning Tips
- Prioritize forming a pure sequence first.
- Discard high-value cards early if they do not fit into a sequence.
- Watch opponent discards to guess their hand.
- Use jokers to complete impure sequences, not pure ones.
